Log splitter is a important forestry machinery. There are three type of log splitter, - upright type splitter, horizontal type splitter and guillotine type splitter. The machine is designed to cut the big stump, big branches, large logs and hard wood to small size which can be fit for infeeding to the wood chippers or for other use. The principle of this splitter is hydraulic system.
This model in the picture is horizontal type splitter. The length of the work table has 3 dimension-1000mm, 1200mm and 1500mm. The nominal pressure is 30ton, 40ton and 50ton and so on depend on different model. We can design the splitter with different pressure according to the customers' request. The horizontal type splitter is more convenient to operate. The power can be electric motor or diesel engine depend on customers' need. We also can design it to be mobile type with tires which can be attached to tractor or car.
The advantage of horizontal type splitter: 1. The center of gravity is low so it is steady and safe when working. 2. With more strong power. 3. Can work with the material with big diameter. 4. The hydraulic system is fixed to the main body of the splitter, so it don't need to be installed before use it. 5. It is easy to be moved and transported by simple lifting equipment. And it can be designed to be mobile type with tires then be attached to tractor or car.
The disadvantage of horizontal type splitter: The length of the worktable is short (1000mm-1500mm) so it can only work with one stump or one block of log each time.
